The Air Quality Initiative of Regions (AIR) organised the conference “A Breath of fresh AIR: Regional approach to future air quality policy”, kindly hosted by MEP Amalia Sartori, Chair of ITRE committee at the European Parliament
This event took place on Tuesday 26 June, 09.30 – 18.00, at the European Parliament, József Antall (JAN) building, room 4Q2, in Brussels.
The European Parliament plays a key role in making legislation on environment, economy and energy which increasingly impacts on citizens’ daily life. Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) will debate the review of the air quality directive with the political representatives of the AIR regions (Baden-Württemberg, Catalunya, Emilia-Romagna, Hessen, Lombardia, London, North-Rhine Westphalia, Piemonte, Randstad, Steiermark, Veneto and Vlaanderen) and EU Commissioners.
At the end of the conference a joint position paper will be handed over to EU-Commissioner for Environment Janez Potočnik
